Where to download motherboard drivers

Find chipset, network and audio drivers for the exact board and operating system, including a plan for a PC without internet.

Start with the exact model

Open your board in the MoboDocs library and choose Drivers. Check the complete model name and hardware revision on the manufacturer's page. Select your installed operating system before choosing a package. A similar model name is not enough.

No internet after installing Windows?

Download the matching network driver on another connected device and copy it to a USB drive. Install it on the new PC, then return to the official support page for the remaining packages. MSI documents this approach because Windows may not include a driver for a newer network controller.

Pick the package for the device

  • Chipset: platform components.
  • LAN: wired Ethernet.
  • Wireless and Bluetooth: the fitted wireless module.
  • Audio: onboard sound.

Some ASUS support pages list drivers for more than one wireless controller. Match the installed device; do not install every wireless package just because it appears on the page.

A driver is not a BIOS update

Drivers run inside the operating system. BIOS firmware is a separate download and procedure. Check the BIOS release notes and model-specific instructions before deciding to update it.

Keep a small install record

Write down the board revision, Windows edition, package name and download date. Keep the original official link with the file so you can identify it later. MoboDocs links to the manufacturer's selector; it does not redistribute installers.
